(1/5) It's been afew years since I led an armada into battle... I'm still trying to get used to sitting in the hot seat again,
(2/5) The crisis warrants it, though. Earth is under attack by unknown life forms from another galaxy, which we're calling the "Bydo."
(3/5) It's been a constant struggle for all of us in the Space Corps to stop the Bydo from entering the Solar system.
(4/5) And now Ive been assigned as the Special Operations Armada's commander... If they're putting someone as rusty asu me in such a vital role, I can only assume we're taking enough casualties to bring about a sever shortage of manpower.
(5/5) We've gotten early reports that the Bydo have made it as far as Jupiter's orbit.I'll be dictating my armada's progress into this recorder regularly... just in case. -M.C.0065.01.16 Commander Mojiyuki of the Special Operations Armada

(1/3) M.C.0065.01.16 As per the Defcon 3 protocols, my armada has been instructed to participate in a training exercise wlthin Earth's stratosphere. Each participant's obkective is to seize his opponent's territory.
(2/3) A major campaign to recover the Jupiter Satellite Base has ended in failure, causeing a serious blow to the war effort. Prior to now, the training program has lain fallow. We've all had to scramble to get a training schedule reestablished.
(3/3) My current force consists only of a Jormungand-class transport, a resupply vessel, an A.W.A.C.S., and a small contingent of fighters. These are the units I've been ordered to take into the training exercise. I can't claim to understand the brass' thinking on this, butt... It's not up to me. It's time to assemble the forces I've been given. Deploy

(1/2) We managed to get through the training exercise. Upon returning to base, my next orders were already waiting. Ah, the life of a Space Corps officer...!
(2/2) My directives are to participate in the next exercise, to be held on the moon. I've also been given the freedom to gather reinforcements as I see fit. I'd like to go into each mission with as may ships and pilots as I can recruit... Regroup
(1/2) Our training exercises on the moon were a success, and we've already received new orders on our way back to base.
(2/2) "RTB cancelled. head directly to Mars and investigate the abandoned milltary installation there." We've already reversed our course and laid in a path for Mars. Regroup
(1/2) Our mission is to secure certain data from the remnants of the Mars installation.
(2/2) What could be so critical on an abandoned facility that we have to retrieve it at a time like this...? I'm not sure I'll be able to give my men a satisfactory explanation. At any rate... orders are orders, and we must investigate. We can voice any concerns once the mission is over; for now, it's go time. Deploy
(1/5) We managed to secure the Mars Facility Data.
(2/5) During the mission, we engaged an unidentified mechanism. It seemed to be Bydo in nature, but there's been no reports of the Bydo having taken over the facility.
(3/5) the intel I was given from Space Corps command holds that the Bydo were repelled along the case... exactly what did we just encounter?
(4/5) Upon returning to the Mars orbital outpost, a delightful new set of orders awaited us.
(5/5) "Exterminate the Bydo on the Jupiter front." They must be out of their minds! A rusty commander in charge of a ragtag armada, rescuing the Jupiter Satellite Base!? The Corps' elite battalions weren't able to accomplish that one! But... our orders are clear. It's up to us to carry them out. Regroup
(1/2) As we made our way towards the Jupiter Satellite Base, we caught a glimpse of unidentified ships in a field of asteroids.
(2/2) While taking battle stations, I contacted high command. Once we confirmed that the unknown ships were Bydo vessels, they gave the order to attack. It's time for our first real engagement... Deploy
(1/2) We managed to repel the Bydo forces. It came as a surprise that the Bydo had already advanced this far. I made a quick report back to high command.
(2/2) Our orders are unchanged. We will proceed to the militay installation orbiting the Jupiter satellite and recover it for the Space Corps. Regroup

(1/3) The Jupiter Satellite Base is a military facility in orbit around Jupiter. It once served as the backbone in Earth's last line of defense, but even it was overcome by the Bydo's relentless attack.
(2/3) There have been several rescue attempts to recapture the base, but none have succeeded. Even the recent all-out effort, employing the state-of-the-art R9DH units, ended in vain a few days ago.
(3/3) Despite that flasco, they have ordered our small armada to attempt the same operation... Just how desperate is the high command? Deploy
(1/4) We managed to recapture the Jupiter Satellite Base.
(2/4) Haaving completed our objective, we were on our way back to Earth when another transmission arrived. My men and I shared the same uneasy feeling as the new orders came over the comm. Even so, the entire room was speechless as we read our new orders...

Do not return to Earth. Organize strike force and destroy Bydo core ASAP. Godspeed. *End Transmission
(4/4) The shock and disbelief on the bridge was palpable. The orders couldn't be real... But they were . As if to demonstrate their kindness ,high command sent us a Vanargand-class cruiser. (Must remember to assign a captain to it.) We've currently prepping for a journey to the Tesseract faclilty on Pluto. Regroup

(1/2) We decided to use Saturn's gravitational pull to our advantage and slingshot along Saturn's rings.
(2/2) As preparations for the slingshot maneuver advanced, we detected enemies deep within the rings. I've ordered the armada to commence an attack immediately. Deploy
(1/4) This was once a research facility designed to investigate any possible Bydo weaknesses. It was known as the Bestra Research Facility.
(2/4) What started as a project to research Bydo weaknesses eventually changed its mandate to finding ways to use the Bydo as a weapon. The Force, for instance, was one of the fruits of this research.
(3/4) We gained a powerful weapon, but at the cost of the Beatra facility. The Bydo specimen tanks failed, and Bestra is now little more than a nest for the Bydo. If it weren't such a tragedy, I'd call it quid pro quo.
(4/4) We are charged not only with destroying the Bydo outside of the Solar System, but also to annihilate those within. We entered the facility's dock, unaware of what waited within. Deploy
(1/1) The research facility which once contained Bydo specimens, has become an uncontrollable infestation of the Bydo. But it looks like we have no other way forward than to press on through... Deplay
(1/3) We successfully exterminated the infestation of Bydo in the facility.
(2/3) Humanity created the Force to retaliate against the Bydo, but the result was increased hostility from our attackers. It's impossible to say how many lives were lost here, but the phrase "What goes around, comes around" can't help but come to mind.
(3/3) I wish that humans weren't so quick to toy with power we can't possibly understand. This facility has become a monument to our worst qualities... Part of me hopes it will remain in this God-forsaken place, as a silent warning. Regroup
(1/5) We've received orders to participate in Operation Utgarda Loki.
(2/5) The operation will be held in the Kuiper Belt near Neptune's orbit. The plan is quite simple: annihilate the Bydo entering the Solar System using an enormous solar array. The execution, however, will be another matter...
(3/5) This operation cannot proceed without Utgarda Loki, a weapon powered by solar energy relayed from dozens of focal mirrors scattered throughout the territory. It's more easily understood as a gigantic laser cannon, albeit fueled by infinite solar power.
(4/5) However charging and firing the Utgarda Loki takes a tremendous amount of time. Our mission is to prevent the Bydo from destroying or interfering with any part of Utgarda Loki. It'll be touch and go... One direct hit on Utgarda Loki, and we'll have to start the process over again.
(5/5) Furthermore, it's our task to lure the enemy into its field of fire. Fortunately, triggering system has also been entrusted to us. We must take care not tobe within the weapon's line of fire when it's activated. Being roasted by our own ultimate weapon would be a grim sort of irony... Deploy
(1/2) The operation was a success. I'm grateful that neither the Bydo nor our own double-edged sword proved our undoing. After a quick sigh of relief, we returned to our original mission.
(2/2) While setting a course for Pluto, we detected Bydo life forms in the vicinity of Triton, one of Neptune's satellites. We've come this far... Best to take extra precautions against being flanked. I've ordered the navigator to adjust our course again: this time, to Triton, the ice planet. Regroup
(1/2) Triton is Neptune's largest satellite... it's a frozen world, with an atmosphere of nitrogen and methane. There's no question that it's unfit for human habitation, but for the Bydo, it may well be a paradise.
(2/2) We began our descent onto the satellite, somewhat curious to see what Bydo life forms we might encounter. Deploy
(1/3) We defeated the Mobile Fortress that dominated Triton's subterranean waterways.
(2/3) It's now time to head toward Pluto Base Glitnir... And from there, we'll be leaving our solar System.
(3/3) But it won't be easy. I can already feel a headache coming on, just thinking about the tactical formations I'll need... It'll be hard pounding ahead. Regroup
(1/4) Glitnir is a military base just outside Pluto's orbit. The facility houses a large-scale tesseract drive, capable of travel over long distances.
(2/4) The base has been abandoned ever since the day the Bydo attacked. If our destination is the Bydo stronghold, we must first occupy the base.
(3/4) Our theater of operations in confronting the Bydo will be the gas fields of Pluto. There are three possible routes to take: 1) Push through the gas fields 2) Traverse the glaciers above 3) Move along the Charon's shadow below
(4/4) As I mulled over my options, I saw the notice that we'd reached the operation's entry point. It's time to take a gamble... Deploy
(1/4) We managed to recapture Glitnir, allowing us to travel outside our own solar system.
(2/4) Once we leave tho Solar System, Solonium may be difficult to come by. It might be wise to stock up on resources before we set out. As my academy instructor used to say: Better safe than sorry.
(3/4) On the plus side, we've recruited Arjunainto our ranks.
(4/4) At any rate, preparations will begin tomorrow. The men deserve at least a good night's rest and a decent meal before we go. I wouldn't mind some time between the sheets myself. Regoroup
