A long time ago, we used to use papyrus, sheep skin pieces of wood or bamboo instead of paper, and everything had to be
handwritten. books were rare and exensive, more than this, because commoners couldn't purchase books, reading proficiency was
very low.
Later, book's manuscripts were copied by monks. the publishing of books was just beginning. Johannes Gutenberg was a German
goldsmith who changed everything with arguably the most important invention in the history of human;he invented the printing

Because of people like Johannes Gutenberg we can comfortably read books in the school library or at home. We
should all thank the people who made efforts such as the people of the renaissance, the inventors of the
internet, the iPad. In this world today we face many proglems that no generation has ever faced before, from
wars to pollution. The disseminatio of information and knowledge is the very best way to combat these serious
issues. It is because of all of our previous generation's great inventions thet we may have a future.
